How To Transform Your Hot Tea To Iced Tea For The Summer Weather

Posted by Monique Pitt on

Since it finally feels like the summer weather is upon us here in Ontario, we thought it would only be right that we share how you can still enjoy our steeped teas in a cool and refreshing way!
Whether hot or cold, the benefits of tea remain. So why not have fun with it in the summer and switch things up a bit while still reaping these benefits. It's a great way to make you feel good about what's in your cup, and offers those who don't drink alcoholic beverages an alternative as well! It truly is so simple to do, as long as you have some fruit, a sparkling beverage, a natural sweetener, a good juice and of course your steeped tea then that's really all you need. We've laid out a few of our favourite iced tea blends below to get you started!
  1. The Radiant Reset Iced Tea
This vitamin C packed tea blend already has hints of orange and mango, two beautifully radiant fruits. So of course, it only makes sense to bring out these tropical flavours even more by adding frozen mango chunks and a splash of orange juice, with a flavoured sparkling water. The best thing about this one is that your orange juice can be freshly squeezed in, giving you even more vitamin C goodness!
What you need:
  • A small cup of steeped Reset Tea, cooled
  • Ice (as much as you like)
  • 1-2 oranges, freshly squeezed
  • 1/3 can of orange or mango flavoured sparkling water (you choose!)
  • Handful of frozen mango chunks
  • 1 tsp of makeamoment's honey to sweeten (optional)
Shake, Stir & Enjoy!
2. The Blissful Berry Iced Tea
This tea was clearly blended with both hot and iced tea in mind! It is definitely an iced tea favourite as it's packed with bold berry flavours as well as healthful antioxidants. You will truly feel good and refreshed after having this tea on ice, and you really don't need to add much!
What you need:
  • A small cup of steeped Berry Bliss Tea, cooled
  • Cubed ice (as much as you like)
  • Splash of pomegranate juice
  • 1/3 can of blackberry sparkling water
  • Handful of frozen blueberries and blackberries
  • 1 tsp of makeamoment's honey to sweeten (optional)
Shake, Stir & Enjoy!
3. The Right Remedy Iced Tea
If you're not too keen on the fruity iced tea blends then don't worry, we didn't forget about you! The powerful notes of ginger and peppermint in the remedy tea blend make for a great, soothing iced tea as well. Whether you are feeling a little sore throat coming on, or just in the mood to kick back with a richly flavoured drink that you know has the ability to put your mind and body at ease, then this one is perfect for you.
What you need:
  • A small cup of steeped Remedy Tea, cooled
  • Cubed ice (as much as you like)
  • 1/3-1/2 can or bottle of ginger beer
  • 3-5 crushed peppermint leaves
  • 1 wedge of lemon, squeezed
  • 1 tsp of makeamoment's honey to sweeten (optional)
Shake, Stir & Enjoy!
There you have it; three iced teas to keep you happy, healthy and hydrated during the hotter summer months! All of the drink recipes shared can be altered to your liking by adding different juices, fruits and etc. But hopefully these ones can give you some inspiration to work with as you create and hopefully share your own iced tea blends with us over on Instagram So please don't forget to check out our Signature Tea Blends while you're here with us on the site. We look forward to hearing how you like our teas, and to seeing what you come up with for the summer. Cheers!
